A Virtual Lunch Conversation About Community
April 6 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pmFree
Please join the judges of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland for a virtual lunch conversation regarding ways we can strengthen our community now and on the other side of the pandemic. The conversation will identify opportunities for us to support each other and others through various initiatives sponsored by the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland and Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service. Mark Neal, Clerk of the Bankruptcy Court, will update us on important statistics for the bankruptcy community and key things for all lawyers to know about the court’s migration to NextGen, as well as important changes to the DAP/TDAP program. Representatives of the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland and Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service also will be on hand to provide valuable information about how you may be able to help residents, both tenants and homeowners, stay secure in their homes, including eviction prevention, consumer protection, bankruptcy and assistance with property taxes and utility bills. We hope to generate a meaningful and interactive conversation and, whether you are a consumer or business bankruptcy lawyer, we hope you will consider joining the bench and your colleagues for this conversation.
Presentation will be via Zoom. Instructions to follow.
